History

Woodmaster was set up in the year 1920 by Late Niranjan S. Singh as “Niranjan Singh and Sons”. The company was established in Lahore (Pakistan) and dealt with the manufacturing of woodworking machines including versatile woodworking planer, band saw machines and wooden detailing machines.

After running successfully for 25 years, the company launched its first branch in India. With a similar product range, “Niranjan Singh and Sons” was set forth in Ludhiana, Punjab.

In the year 1989, the N.S. Machine Tools was founded. It was promoted by Late S. Surjeet Singh and his son Mr Iqbal Singh. The sole purpose behind incepting this company was Research and Development for panel processing machines. But, later began production of machines.

N.S. Machine Tools became the leading and the only producer of a complete range of panel processing machines. The company produced advanced machinery including Edge Banding, Panel Saw, Post forming with PLC Control, Hot Press, etc.

In the year 2000, Woodmaster came into being. The unit was founded for manufacturing advanced machinery for modular kitchens and bamboo processing including Double-End Tenoning Machine, Finger Shaping Machine, Four-Side Planner with Fifth Fixed Spindle, etc.

The 3rd and 4thgenerations of the family established Woodmaster (I) Pvt. Ltd. This firm was formed by merging the three companies owned by the family.

The company created a new milestone by exporting their machines to faraway continents like Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. In 2014, the company began exporting the products to Italy.
